A friend of mine recently started a CSA in Norman, and asked me to take weekly photos of the produce for her website. In case you aren't familiar with what a CSA is, it's a weekly box of local fruit and vegetables, straight from the farm. Each week offers a different array, depending on what the farmers have available. The benefits of buying from a CSA are really endless - from supporting local farming, to minimizing the need for transportation (and carbon dioxide emissions), to eating the freshest produce available, still full of nutrition and flavor. If you happen to live in the Norman/Oklahoma City area, check out her Facebook page here.

I'm so happy to see more frequent posts here. It's so hard to find spare moments to share and I'm glad that you do. There's such serenity and appreciation for nature in your photographs. I find myself frequently referring back to your recipes. I'm really looking forward to seeing more of them this fall when all I want is simple comfort food.
